The email below was sent out by Watson, to apartment owners, on the 9th April 2026:

"We wish to inform you regarding the replacement of electricity meters.

Following recent feedback, we would like to advise that residents are permitted to upgrade their existing meters to smart meters.

Please find below a step-by-step guide to assist with the process:

  • Arrange a suitable date and time with your electricity supplier for the installation of a smart meter. Once scheduled, please contact Watson on 0113 2738788 or utilise their online portal to notify us.
  • The details you provide will be forwarded to our caretaking team. They will record the appointment and ensure access arrangements are made accordingly. 
  • On the day of installation, please instruct your electricity supplier to proceed to the bollards located near Leetham House and Bellerby Court (Dundas Street). 
  • If the bollards are still closed, contact Watson on 0113 2738788 so we can inform the caretakers to facilitate access. 
  • The caretakers will lower the bollards and provide entry for the electricity supplier. 
  • They will then grant access to the plant room where the meters are located and conduct the exchange. Please note that there may be an interruption to your electricity supply for approximately 30 minutes. We do advise that you check with the electricity supplier if they do need access to your apartment before or after the smart meter has been installed. 
  • Once the installation is completed, electricity will be restored to your apartment. The caretakers will secure all doors and allow the electricity supplier to leave the estate.
