The letter below was sent out by Watson, to all occupiers, on the 23th June 2025:
"We are writing to remind you to ensure that no items are left in the communal areas and/or cupboards.
The following items, mats, shoes, prams, and any similar belongings are considered to be personal items and are a potential trip hazard for those using and visiting the building. They also pose a serious fire hazard as the stairwells and landings serve as the only means of escape during a fire. Any such items left in these areas, are in direct breach of current fire regulations and could invalidate any insurance claim which may follow an incident.
Accordingly, we are obliged to ensure that all such risk factors are eliminated and we would therefore ask you to arrange for the removal of any personal items and door mats within the next 14 days. We will be undertaking frequent checks on this matter and as stated above, any item left in the communal areas following the 14-day period will be removed and disposed of without notice.
We trust we will have your full cooperation on this matter. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact Watson".
